The refractometer can perform 0-100 Brix full scale measurements. The accuracy is usually ±0.1 Brix, and temperature compensation is automatically made when measuring. Low and high concentration alerts can be configured. Because of the digital sensing technology, even a large number of suspended particles, bubbles or color changes do not affect the measurement or accuracy. Each sensor is accompanied by a calibration certificate based on a comparison of a set of standard liquids to the actual sensor output. Calibration and accuracy can be verified in the field using certified refractive index liquids and Vaisala validation procedures.
